Ever since his True Love had departed to seek her fortunes in the wide, wide world (of Louisiana State University), Bobby's heart had been... well, broken was too kind a word for it. There was copious weeping and staring off into the distance, far too many rended garments, and he was fast becoming something of a shut-in.

That all changed, of course, the day that he met her. His other True Love. They had to keep their love a secret for now of course, lest they incite the wrath of those who Just Didn't Understand... but at least now Bobby felt like the spark had returned to his life again. And it was all thanks to one fabulous woman. The woman he waited for now, in their usual meeting spot on the beach, a small cave just beyond where the water crashed over the rocks. He glanced out worriedly, hoping nothing would delay her. He couldn't bear to be parted from her for even one minute more!

Angelica approached the meeting spot, the wind blowing her hair dramatically as romantic music played. Her steps quickened as she drew near to where her love waited. She was anxious to see him after spending the day hiding their love. The others just wouldn't understand.

"Bobby!" she called.

"My dearest Angelica!" he could wait no longer for her to come to him. Stepping out of the cave, he swept her up in his arms. "It has been so long!" he murmured.

They'd seen each other yesterday for a quick tryst in the alley behind Cafe Luke's.

Angelica rushed into his arms, throwing her own around his neck and meeting his lips with a deep, passionate kiss.

"Oh, my love," she said. "I have missed you so much!"

"I cannot wait until the day when we must no longer hide our love for fear of retribution," Bobby murmured.

"She left you," Angelica said, running her fingers through his hair. "She has no claim over you any more. Why won't they understand that?"

"Because ~~she's still listed in the credits~~ she wields too much power here," Bobby said, darting a nervous glance around. Even now, she could be listening!

"When will we be able to not live in fear?" Angelica said desperately, clinging to him. "Every day when I pass you by, I want to shout to the world of our love. But I swallow it and look away."

"Soon, dearest, soon," Bobby assured her, tucking a loose lock of hair behind her ear.

"And until then I will treasure these stolen moments," Angelica said, leaning in for another kiss, hot and desperate.

"If all goes well, the shadowy wind," yes, that last part was said in a dramatic whisper, "should solve our problem by tomorrow," he promised her, once his lips finally parted from hers.

"Do you promise?" Angelica said with a shiver. "If we can't be together soon I think I will spontaneously combust with the fire of my love for you."

"I promise!" Bobby said fervently. "I have friends in... high places." A pause. "It must not come to that! If I lost you I fear my heart would turn to ice," he said sadly.

"Then I would find a way to come back and melt your heart," Angelica swore, pressing her hand to his chest.

"As only you could, my dearest," Bobby said fondly, taking her hand and leading her into the cave that was their secret meeting spot.

Angelica cast one more nervous glance of her shoulder to make certain they weren't being observed by any of her minions, but the beach seemed clear. Relieved, she turned all her attention back to her One True Love. "Let us make the most of this moment," she said. "I am yours."
