Roof of Mount Sinai Hospital, NYC [Tuesday Afternoon Fandom-Time]
Once the evening's visiting hours had ended, Bobby'd found himself wandering up to the roof of the hospital. He needed some time to just think, clear his head, but he couldn't quite bring himself to actually leave the hospital, not just yet.
He needed to be here, in case- well. In case every second counted. Sleep definitely wasn't happening, and dawn was only a few hours away now anyway.
So he sat, legs dangling over the edge of the building, and just... waited.

After wrangling her way through portals from Shreveport to Bobby's version of New York, a bag slung over her back filled with clothes and her textbooks, Sookie then took on the arduous task of figuring out which hospital had Bobby's dad. Looking through this many people for Bobby's brain signature at a distance gave her a near-instant headache, and after calling four different hospitals before finding the one that sounded promising, she finally turned up in the lobby of Mount Sinai.
Only to be told that visiting hours were over. Of course.
Now, though, she could feel through the bond that she was closer. She closed her eyes, pushing away the pulsing ache in her temples, and listened for Bobby.
And after about ten minutes of learning that elevators interfered with her telepathy and stairs were really tiring, Sookie crept out onto the roof of the hospital. And there he was.
She didn't know whether to yell or cry at him right now. Little bit of both. She was probably going to go with yelling.
"Robert Louis Drake, if you're actually dropping you out of school I'm going to turn into a human cattle prod to get you back to Fandom to finish senior year."
Yep. Yelling.

Thankfully, ice-powers came in handy at times like that. Which was why a few seconds after he'd disappeared off the edge of the roof, he reappeared, rising up on a column of ice.
"...Nice to see you too?" he tried.

"You're gonna give me a heart attack at eighteen," she said, glaring as she crossed a hand over her chest. "Or at least turn my hair gray. What are you doing?"

"Trying not to plummet to my untimely death."
...Which, naturally, meant that's what Bobby gave.
